Welcome to Dash E-Bike. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of our products. By placing an order, you agree to the following terms.
1. Product Use and Legal Compliance
Classification: Dash E-bikes are sold as “Pedelecs” (EPAC) or Class 1/2/3 e-bikes, depending on your region. It is your responsibility to ensure that your use of the bike complies with local traffic laws.
Speed and Power: Our bikes come equipped with speed limiters that comply with regional regulations (e.g., 25 km/h in the EU/UK or 20/28 mph in the US).
2. Warranty and “Adjustment Policy”
Limited Warranty: We offer a 2-year warranty on the frame, motor, and battery against manufacturing defects. Unauthorized modifications (the “No-Tuning” rule): Any attempt to “unlock” the speed limiter, install third-party “speed dongles,” or modify the firmware/controller immediately invalidates the entire warranty.
Consumables: Tires, brake pads, and chains are considered wear parts and are not covered by the warranty.
3. Battery Safety and Maintenance
Fire Hazard: Lithium-ion batteries can pose a fire hazard if used improperly. You agree to use only the original Dash charger.
Charging Guidelines: Do not charge the battery unattended or overnight. Always charge the battery in a well-ventilated, dry area, away from flammable materials.
Storage: If the bike is not used for more than 30 days, the battery must be stored in a cool, dry place with a charge of approximately 50%. 4. Shipping and Logistics
Hazardous Materials: E-bike batteries are classified as Class 9 hazardous goods. We ship in accordance with international UN3480/3481 standards.
Delivery Inspection: You must check the box for damage upon arrival. If the packaging is severely damaged or dented, refuse the delivery and contact us immediately, as a damaged battery can pose a safety risk.
Shipping Costs: Due to the weight and classification as a hazardous substance, additional costs for special logistics may be charged at checkout.
5. Returns & Refunds
30-Day Trial Period: You may return your bike within 30 days of delivery, provided the odometer shows less than 20 km and the bike is in its original packaging.
Return Shipping Costs: The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs (estimated at €100-€250 due to transport requirements for hazardous materials). Restocking fees: Restocking fees of 15% will be charged for all opened or used bicycles that are returned.
6. Limitation of Liability
Dash E-Bike is not liable for injury, damage, or legal fines resulting from reckless riding, improper maintenance, or illegal modifications to the speed or power settings of the bicycle.
7. Applicable Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the region where the product was purchased (e.g., the Federal Republic of Germany for orders within the EU).
