Welcome to Dash E-Bike. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of our products. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by the following terms.

1. Product Use & Legal Compliance

Classification: Dash E-Bikes are sold as “Pedelecs” (EPAC) or Class 1/2/3 e-bikes depending on your region. It is your responsibility to ensure your use of the bike complies with local traffic laws.
Speed & Power: Our bikes are shipped with speed limiters compliant with regional regulations (e.g., 25 km/h in the EU/UK or 20/28 mph in the USA).

2. Warranty & “Tuning” Policy

Limited Warranty: We offer a 2-year warranty on the frame, motor, and battery against manufacturing defects.
Unauthorized Modifications (The “No-Tuning” Rule): Any attempt to “unlock” the speed limiter, install third-party “speed dongles,” or modify the firmware/controller will immediately void the entire warranty.
Consumables: Tires, brake pads, and chains are considered wear-and-tear items and are not covered under warranty.

3. Battery Safety & Maintenance

Fire Risk: Lithium-ion batteries can pose a fire risk if mishandled. You agree to use only the original Dash charger provided.
Charging Guidelines: Do not charge the battery unattended or overnight. Always charge in a well-ventilated, dry area away from flammable materials.
Storage: If the bike is not used for more than 30 days, the battery should be stored at approximately 50% charge in a cool, dry place.

4. Shipping & Logistics

Hazardous Materials: E-bike batteries are classified as Class 9 Dangerous Goods. We ship according to international UN3480/3481 standards.
Delivery Inspection: You must inspect the box for damage upon arrival. If the packaging is severely punctured or crushed, refuse the delivery and contact us immediately, as a damaged battery can be a safety hazard.
Shipping Charge: Due to the weight and hazardous classification, a specialized logistics surcharge may apply at checkout.

5. Returns & Refunds

30-Day Trial: You may return your bike within 30 days of delivery, provided it has fewer than 20 km on the odometer and is in the original packaging.
Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for return shipping costs (estimated at €100–€250 due to hazardous material freight requirements).
Restocking Fee: A 15% restocking fee applies to all opened or used bike returns.

6. Limitation of Liability

Dash E-Bike is not liable for any injuries, damages, or legal fines resulting from reckless riding, lack of maintenance, or illegal modifications to the bike’s speed or power settings.
